HD Love

Upon logging in, the first thing that really jumped out at me about this site was the apparent high quality of the episodes. This was hard to miss because, not unlike the tour, the main page contains ultra-high res previews of the latest updates, making it hard to miss the amazing detail and clarity high-definition video and a professional lighting can provide. But not wanting to bank merely on the visual, they've also made sure to include a well written, very steamy synopsis with each episode. This makes it very easy to scan the archive and get a clear picture of the site rather quickly.

After a little digging, I realized this site wasn't really into scripts or silly scenarios. Hell, one description basically says as much. No, the main priority here is getting the best looking models possible, often pairing them up, in order to create a product that's as aesthetically pleasing as possible. Well, having thoroughly went over their entire archive, I can say they've satisfied me in that regard. It seems they've went more the direction of natural beauties, which I definitely prefer. I mean, if we're talking about the best of the best, we might as well go all out, right?

Speaking of going "all out." This isn't a glam site, so if you were worried about scenes filled with beautiful people looking beautiful and, well, not much else — don't. In point of fact, the average episode here is in excess of 30 minutes, and usually contains a hardcore sex act. And though there are some solo scenes here, I can assure you that they're anything but softcore. So far, content seems to be a pretty even mixture of lesbian and straight porn, with the occasional M.F.F. and solo scene thrown in for good measure. The scenes are well shot, smoothly edited, and interestingly lit. The latter, especially when combined with the sometimes unorthodox camera work, gives the episodes an almost dreamlike effect.

Though the tour only touted their downloads, I found their streaming video to be quite nice, too. This is thanks in no small part to their embedded player. In addition to giving minimal buffering issues, I found the scene selector at the bottom of the player to be quite useful. Especially so if you're in a hurry and need to get to those juicy bits immediately — no more speeding too far ahead with those sloppy on-the-fly estimations. They do have downloads as well, though, and, just as promised on the tour page, they're authentic 1080p HD. Unfortunately, that's the only option you have for viewing or downloading these babies. I suppose signing up for a site with HD in the name and expecting SD quality video is a little silly, but I do think they could have added a few other format choices. Perhaps even a lower grade 720p for those in a hurry. After all, we can't keep up the connoisseur 24/7, can we? Sometimes necessity gets in the way.

If you're wondering about photos, well, though they may not be mentioned in the main menu, they're around. Each update has two galleries attached to it — one hosting screencaps, the other full-fledged photography. They both come in the same resolution, are watermarked in the same spot, and the screen cap galleries actually hold, on average, around 200 more images. However, the photos are unquestionably of a higher quality, showing much greater clarity and obvious intent. Ultimately, though, it doesn't matter, because no matter which way your taste might run, both galleries have identical viewing and download options.

Now, no site is perfect, and even a site such as this one, which prides itself on its high quality, is going to have its share of flaws. The most notable here would have to be the overwhelming lack of navigational tools. I suppose on the surface, the simplicity of design feels like an advantage. I mean, definitely doesn't take long to adjust to the members' area. In fact, even the most novice of users should have absolutely zero problem in diving right in.

The setup is quite similar to what you might see a small solo model or personal amateur site: there's a main menu at the top of the page, recent updates in the middle, and really not much else. The main menu has 6 buttons, but the only one you need concern yourself with — for browsing original content, anyway — is "Our Updates," which actually just takes you to a more elaborate version of the main page. There's nothing yet in the way of niche tags, or any other way to filter the archive.

Worse yet, there's no model index, and considering the fact that these beauties were one of the major selling points of their tour, you'd think they'd be a bit better represented inside the members area. As is, we gain a first name through the synopsis, but outside of that, there's little to no info about about these hotties on the site. In their defense, the site didn't launch until June 2012, so they're stil relatively new to the scene. Still, I'd expect a wee bit more in 7 months.

On the bright side, there's a wealth of bonus material to be had. There's 494 videos, so far, all in HD, all featuring name porn stars. The bonus updates also have a near identical setup(save for the download option) to those found on HD Love. You'll also find the customary live cam and dating site links, but the nearly-500 HD updats are, without a doubt, "where it's at."
