Sweet Sinner

In stark contrast to the wild, dark reality of their films — a chaotic world filled with characters who lie, cheat, and take advantage of the young and naive on a regular basis — the Sweet Sinner members' area is the picture of order. Aesthetically speaking, it's a very modern layout, and I think mostly-black color scheme was a wise choice. In addition to being easy on the eyes in the wee hours of the morning it also has the bonus of making their steamy cover-art really pop out.

Finding your way around is easy enough; there are only two menus, one for browsing the site's juicy content, the other focused specifically on your account settings. I would have liked to have seen a search engine, but with the niche filter(currently holds over 40 fetishes) is an acceptable stand-in. However, if their archive continues to grow at its current rate(a new update every 4 days), they would do well to consider more advanced browse-tools.

If there's any real flaw at the moment, it's that there's no descriptive details included with any of the sets, scenes or DVDs, listed on the site. While the 'what-you-see-is-what-you-get' approach worked quite nicely on the tour, I don't think carrying it over into the members area was wise. A synopsis, no matter how descriptive the topic or how telling the teaser shot, is always worthwhile. Currently we only have niche tags, rating, and a few stills to go on. Sometimes that's just not enough.

As far as pure viewing satisfaction is concerned, you'll hear no complaints from me. The site's main emphasis is taboo relationships, and they seem pretty adept at covering a wide range of possibilities — think secretaries seducing bosses, teachers seducing students, and a whole world of infidelities. Indeed, it seems the only taboo they've yet to tackle is incest(although they've came close with a number of "father figure" scenarios). I can also see this material appealing to anyone with a taste for interracial, as there are plenty of stars here known for their BBCs — Mr. Marcus and Sean Michaels, for example. And they use them quite effectively, I might add, to turn mild-mannered house-wives into wild-eyed sex slaves.

On a side note: porn star fans are in for a treat. The model directory looks like a who's who of porn. I spotted a number of my personal favorites, such as the baby-faced Bobbi Starr and the always yummy April O'neil. And what Cinemax subscriber isn't familiar with Evan Stone?

Thanks in no small part to great lighting, editing, and use of musical ques, the scenes have a real cinematic feel. On that note, if we're judging by porno standards, the acting damn fine, too. All of these elements come together and help to provide a full experience that all too often is lacking in modern studio porn. The beginning of Alone With The Enemy illustrates this point perfectly:

It opens with a clearly distressed woman was packing up her belongings, cuts to a sinister looking character climbing a dark staircase, then back to the wife in the well-lit bedroom, chatting away on the phone while arranging her outfits, totally oblivious to the nightmare that awaits her. The tension alone was enough to increase the blood flow to my erection tenfold.

Scenes can be downloaded in either the Windows Media or MPEG-4 format. The latter, however, has far more resolution choices and better overall quality levels. The Windows Media files are only available in a small and medium size, neither of which is HD. On the contrary, the MPEGs are served up in 5 different sizes, two of which have HD play-back. If you'd rather stream than download, you'll have three choices: Small, High, and WebHD. Videos loaded quickly and the WebHD option was every bit as clear and crisp as its MPEG counterpart. Download speeds were also quite fast, going as high as 1.4 megs-per-second during their less traffic-laden hours.

If you'd rather watch these babies in all their feature-length glory, then you have to go straight to the source. All of these scenes come from a collection of a collection of filthy DVDs, with titles like The Secretary, The Teacher, and Cheater's Retreat. After much deliberation, I finally decided that some MILF action would hit the spot. So, Cougar Club 3 it was. Upon clicking the link I was greeted by an video player that was much larger than the one in the Scene's section of the site, but also lacking in all those wonderful format and resolution choices. A lousy trade. And, to top it all off, there are no full-length downloads, period.

Photo galleries, too, were a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, each gallery holds over 200 high-res images. Unfortunately, there's no clear way to download them individually, let alone a full set. You're limited to viewing these images in a slideshow. This is a cruel tease at best. They should consider adding a download option. There's no doubt their members would be grateful.

Though the site is less than a year old, they've already added enough content to rival many sites well passed the 3-year mark. But if you're worried about joining a site that's still, admittedly, a baby, you might take some comfort in knowing that membership includes three bonus sites: Dog House Digital, Reality Junkies, and Sweet Heart Video.
